DealPop’s New Years Resolutions

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2010 was an eventful year for DealPop. We sprouted up in Seattle, spread down to California, had our fair share of trials and tribulations along the way. 2011 will be an eventful year as well because we’ve got big plans for ourselves. BIG plans.

In light of everything we’ve learned, we’ve put together a list of New Years Resolutions to help us be even awesomer. (Yes, awesomer is word. In our dictionary, at least).

1) Get in shape.
All those Yellow Leaf Cupcakes have made us a bit round around the corners, so this year we’re going to put more emphasis on getting out, and getting in shape. We’re not just talking yoga studios and gym memberships, which are great, but out-of-the-box ways to get moving as well.  Perhaps a Belly Dancing Class? or Kung Fu lessons?  Regardless, we’ll be on the look out for great heart pumping deals.

2) Keep eating.
Just so you don’t start freaking out, rest assured we’ll still be hitting the town looking for the best sushi, ice cream, cupcakes, tapas, and burgers around so we can get you the best deals on the best eats.

3) Help Out.
Last year we ran deals benefiting charities such as Vittanna and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Needless to say, it felt pretty good so we’re going to put a lot of effort into keeping it up. If you know of any non-profits in your area that could use a little boost, let us know!

4) Make sure our merchants are happy.
As DealPop was just starting out, we made a conscious effort to maintain the highest level of customer service for our merchants. This meant working with them to determine the right price point, the right number of vouchers to sell, the right time of year to run a deal, and to always maintain impeccable communication. And now in 2011, not matter how big DealPop gets, we resolve to never, ever forget our founding principles because happy merchants make happy customers, which makes us very happy.

5) Throw in a touch of the unexpected.
As much as we know our customers love to eat, we also know you appreciate a bit of the unexpected, so this year we’re going to throw some curve balls at you to make things a bit more interesting, or just to make sure you’re still paying attention.
